Mum & dad came last week to attend my nephew's 2nd birthday which was held on last Saturday (26 Jun). How time flies. Just a blink of an eye, nephew JS is already celebrating his 2nd birthday.


Not forgetting of the dumpling festivals, mum prepared homemade yummylicious dumplings for us. Yummy ! ~ Mum learnt how to make Nyonya dumpling from a pure nyonya friend many years ago. Since then, she has been making 2 types of dumpling every year (the original meat & nyonya dumpling) for us to feast on.

As a doting grandparents, they even bought some sand arts for YX. RM2 per piece from the 2 dollar shop. With my help, YX had a fun time pouring the colourful sands onto the pictures.

The doting grandparents also bought some modelling clay for YX to play. He flatten those plasterstine and told me he is baking some pancakes for me. Awwww....so sweet.

With my help, YX created a Birthday card for nephew JS. Instead of the birthday boy, both my parents were so happy when they saw this card. Such a simple card can bring so much joy to both of them. They were amazed with what YX had done - write and draw. Hmm.....time to make something for the grandparents. ^_^

Brain

I've always reminded myself not to use harsh word in front of the kids, lest they keep in their head and use them wrongly. But sometimes, I just can't control myself especially on YX when he shows me his mischievousness.

My BAD
One night, I get YX to brush his teeth before bedtime. After brushing his teeth, he makes my blood boiled by wanting to use his toothbrush to brush the toilet bowl ! I managed to stop him in time and gave him a good lecture. But out of control, I said "Can you use your brain to think ! bla bla bla..............

YX's version
MIL was feeding him dinner while baby XJ was disturbing him. YX got angry and scolded baby "You are very legil (degil = stubborn). MIL do not understand what is degil, hence asked YX to explain. This boy quickly answered " Use your brain to think la !" (in mandarin)

When we arrived home after work, MIL relate this matter to us, laughing. No. She did not feel offended but was rather surprised YX said that sentences. I quickly get YX to apologised to MIL for saying that but he did not seem to understand what was wrong. I told him it is very rude to use such sentences, especially to an elder. MIL just brushed it off and take it as a joke.

From that day onwards, I've reminded myself NEVER EVER use such word in front of the kids anymore as we never know when or who they will use such harsh word at. I felt rather embarrased when MIL told me about that incident. At the same time, I felt thankful for YX for I've learnt something valuable from him that day. I must be careful with my words.

Put that story aside. Tell me. How can my blood not boiled when YX wanted to use his own toothbrush to brush the toilet bowl !!!! Breath in......Breath out........

Gift vouchers

Oh dear ! I got so many backdated posts to do and so many catching up to do too. Have been blog hopping very less lately due to busy and worst of all, the Internet line was DAMN SLOW. Sometimes, with ERRORS which make me unable to load the page. Ahhh.....so frustrating !

Yesterday night, both kids slept early so I quickly prepared a post which I scheduled it to be posted this morning. Now, I got another backdated post which was really way backdated. Apology to this mummy and daughter for keeping them waiting till their neck long already. haha


A letter all the way from IPOH. I received from Agnes for winning the Mother's Day contest which I participated over here. I received them as early as in the month of May and only got to post this up today.

Yay ! Some shopping vouchers. Will utilised them very soon. Thank you Agnes for your generosity.

A relaxing Sunday

2 Sunday ago, I had a strong crave for sushi. Since hubby is not a fan of Japanese food, I decided to bring YX alone after I rocked Baby XJ to sleep. My plan was sucessful.

YX was very cooperative too. Bringing him out was such a breeze. We first headed to the book store to browse some books. Never did we knew, we actually bought back 5 books ! because they are having a 50% discount and a 3 for 2 ( buy 3 pay 2) promotions on selected items.

After spending about an hour in the bookstore, I can feel my stomach 'playing drum', so we proceed to the sushi outlet. I had a wonderful lunch. Really satisfied. YX did not enjoy sushi (must be inherited by his father) only ate the Inari (sweet beancurd skin), leaving the rice for me to eat. After 1 plate (2 sushi), YX requested for another plate of Inari. I insisted him to eat together with the rice, else I won't agree with the extra plate. He tried, but turned a sour face and said "Yucks, not nice." At the end, I gave in and have to eat an extra 4 sushi rice without topping. What a mother's sacrifies. haha

After lunch, I planned to window shop a while at the other outlets but changed my mind because of the timing. Just a visit to the bookshop + lunch, we had spent nearly 2 hour +. Which means, baby XJ might have woke up from her nap. True enough, once I reached home, I heard her sweet voice filled the house.

Even though it was a very short outing, I felt very satisfied. There will be more outing coming soon !

YX always make us laugh !

No.1

BIL who came back during the weekends bought some durians home. MIL and hubby are two hardcore durians lover. They can't even wait till the next morning and quickly feast on the durians even at around 10pm. I was in the bedroom accompanying YX to sleep (baby XJ already slept earlier) when both of us smelt a faint durian aromas.

YX : Mama, where is the rubbish truck? Somewhere near our house?

Note: Hubby did not even save some for me. Even dare to tell me, not that tasty :(

No.2

Baby XJ who is currently 1 yr 9 months only have 4 teeth at the upper and lower front, leaving the upper and lower back empty. Her teeth sprout very SLOW !

While I was washing baby XJ's milk bottle, YX came running to me in a very anxious look.

YX : Mama ! Mama ! Mei mei's tooth drop already!

Me : Huh?? What happend ? Where ? *started to get worried, because thought baby fell down. But did not hear baby's cry*

YX : *Pulling me towards baby* Nah ! No teeth on the side.

Me : hahahaha.....*can't stop laughing, but still have to explain to him*. Boy, mei mei still young. Many of her teeth still not sprouting out yet. Wait till she grows up like you, she will have a full set of teeth.



No.3

While watching a children show via the tv, YX saw 1 little girl who was wearing a yellow hairband dancing. Quickly, he asked.... "Mama, why is that girl wearing something like Sun WuKong ?"







His latest favourite hero in the movie 'Journey to the West'. Between, he loves the PIG too.

Baby XJ @ 1 year 9 months

Weight : 10 kg

1) Baby love vegetables and soup

2) Can say a few more new words, but still not talking in sentences yet

3) Off diapers during the day time (except taking nap) for 2 weeks already. Past few days, no accidents at all !

4) Love to blow bubbles

5) Enjoying brushing teeth during bathing time (twice a day)

6) Still very attached to her Patrick, else she can't sleep.

7) Can drink from the cup pretty well (with some drips at times)

8) Love to climb on the sofa, chair, table, etc. All thanks to her brother YX who set that example for her.

9) Love to listen to CNY songs just like YX. Until now, we are still listening to CNY songs when the kids requested for it in the car or at home. Their new year never ending. haha

10) Still very much a Complaint Queen

11) Can draw a circle

12) Can recognised and say the word DOG, ANT, BIRD, BOOK

13) When given something, she will said Thank you followed by Welcome. haha

14) Very demanding. When she wanted something, she must have it. Else, she will scream on top of her lung.

15) Taking solids (rice + soup / porridge / mee suah) twice daily. Drinking 6 oz of milk.

Hungry

Hi everyone. I'm back after a long break. I did not go for a holiday but instead, it was my son's school holidays. He is following me to the office everyday and my lappie has become his tool to play online kiddie's game. I'm so happy and thankful to the Internet world. It was just amazing those activities can keep him busy for the whole morning. In the afternoon, he will nap from around 2 - 4 pm before continuing to explore the online game until we are ready to go home.

These few days, YX is driving me up to the wall. We put him to bed at around 10 pm. As usual, he will request to drink milk for 2 times before he is willing to sleep. However, after his usual milk, he requested to EAT RICE ! He whine and whine, saying he was VERY HUNGRY. *He ate rice at around 6.30pm, and drink milk at around 9.30pm *



Me: There are no more rice in the kitchen. We eat them tomorrow for lunch.

YX : You go and cook !

Me : *In my heart 'crazy' * That's impossible. When the rice is ready, you will be sleeping already !

1st night, he whine and whine until he fall asleep.

2nd night, he requested for the same again. This time, he was clever to look for MIL and told her he is hungry. MIL gave him bread. Do you think he is really hungry? I don't think so because he only eat half of the bread and told me he was sleepy after that.

3rd night, he did it again! He went to look for MIL and told her to cook ABC pasta for him. The dotting grandmother did as what was told and his wish granted. Again, do you think he is really hungry? NO! He only eat a few mouths and told me he was sleepy. And that few mouths took him ages to chew and swallow.

This morning, I asked him if he was really hungry or just ask for fun. I got a slap on my face when he replied " JUST ASK FOR FUN" ! Sigh! I'm real tired. Is he in the terrible 4 stage?
