Kindie concert year 2009

Before you read further, please be warned that the video was not in a very good quality because was took by Yours truly who never shot any video before. That night was my 1st time! Haa...my mistake for not doing homework before the concert and now am regretting. But am sure the kindie will ask us to buy the concert vcd / dvd because I saw one professional was shooting in front of the stage.

YX performed 2 dances that night and he really puts smile on hubby & my face. I can really see that he enjoyed the dance and music even he was pratically block by other students.

video

This video was not a complete one due to my mistake. I only realised that I did not click on the 'record' button, not until it was towards the end. Anyway, can you find YX? All the students are so CUTE!

video

This video is slightly better, but YX was being blocked by his friends. Anyway, could still see him dance and shake butt! He is dancing at the right side corner (blue shirt) when they sing 'nod your head'. Between, the voice towards the end of the video belongs to hubby and SIL.

The water girl

Phew! I'm back. This few days have been a busy day for me. All came at once and I nearly can't breath! haha....

I still bring baby XJ to the office for MIL to continue with her packings. Not an easy job though! I only managed to complete my OWN ROOM at the rate of 20%. Gosh....still a long way to go.

And see this little girl, being so busy walking up and down in the office. She could finally walk more than 3 steps and can squat, then stand up again.

* Sorry...I just don't know how to rotate the video. Anybody could help me please. *

Since Jack is not around, Jill will do the job. Wonder where is she going! hehe

No Business

Baby XJ has been quite good in doing her 'business' regularly in the morning. However, since I brought her to the office on Tuesday (17 Nov), she has somehow forgotten to poo!

She has not been pooing for almost 4 days!!!! What should I do?

I've diluted her milk intake, so she can consume more water. This does not help.

I've given her 2 pieces of prunes yesterday night, and she still did not show any sign of pooing.

This morning, I tried to give her a bottle of Yakult (suggested by MIL) and after taking a few sips, she refuse to drink. I still have another bottle in the fridge and will try to give it to her again later.

During lunch time, I bought 2 mini Hawaii papayas and she managed to eat 1 slice.

She is now taking her afternoon nap and hopefully, she will poo when she wakes up.

Is there any other way I could use? I'm so worried for her. ~_~

Little XJ goes to work

If you have been reading my past archives, you will realised that I've posted something on shifting to a new house. Year end have come and we are now busy packing and 'throwing' away unwanted things. hehehe....as I always tell hubby if the OLD did not go, the NEW will never come. Hubby shakes head.

Since MIL will now be the busiest women in the world, I'll have to bring baby XJ to work. Well, MIL have to take care of the whole house from kitchen to the living hall to the store room, etc and she got so much to pack. By bringing baby XJ to the office, MIL will have a peace of mind to do the packings in the morning before fetching YX back from school at around 12.30pm. Nowadays, YX will nap in the afternoon and so, MIL could continue with her packings again before cooking dinner for us. See, she is the busiest women.

To bring a tiny baby to the office, I will need to bring a whole load of things including her cradle. Without that, I don't think I can succeed in making her to sleep. If she did not sleep, how am I going to blog ?? hehehe.....and she has been very cooperative. She slept once in the morning around 9 am till 11 am. Then in the afternoon, she slept again at around 2 pm - 4 pm.

Not forgetting her favourite darling - Patrick. She have to bring this little fella everywhere she goes.

Married with kids

Last Saturday we attended a friend's wedding ceremony at KL. The newly-wed couple was actually hubby's ex-colleague. Hubby's former company was some sort of a 'match making' company. Many who worked there at their early 20s will get a partner and ended up married! Hahaha....this is TRUE. The company is actually dealing with educations software and many who worked there are fresh gratuates and they fall in love easily. hehe... but hubby did not get a chance to join in this 'match making' game because he was not 'available' anymore before working at this company. We met earlier *wink wink*

Ok, back to the wedding ceremony. It was a great 'meet up' for hubby with his old buddies. Can see he was very happy that night with so much to catch up with his friends. He did not sit at his place throughout the wedding ceremony, abondoning me and YX busy eating. (we did not bring baby XJ along).

We arrived on time (as what was stated on the invitation card), but the whole restaurant was so empty! This is very normal for a chinese wedding reception. As time goes by, people started to arrive. We were happy to see so many couples had already tied the knot with most of them have became a parent. Well, some couples do invite us for their wedding, some did not. Friends were also surprised to see YX had grown up so big! hahaha....

This clearly shows that we are OLD already. In just a short 3 - 4 years, many have became a Mother & Father. It was really great seeing these old friends again. Recalling back, seeing them from being single, attached, married and now, have children was such a great feeling !

Dinosaurs

YX is deeply in love with dinasours. He can play with them for hours and can even create some stories to tell us. Normally, those stories will be a sad ending with one of them die. And he even said there are BLOOD!!

On the left side is a free gift with purchase of a box of Koko Crunch Cereal. On the right side, hubby bought it for RM13 from a shop in Mines Shopping Center. Once back home, we quickly throw away all the colourful candies without YX's knowledge.

YX @ 2 yrs 7 mth.
This rubberize dinasours are given to YX by doting gong - gong since last year. He has about 10 of them in different sizes and colours. YX never get bored with the dinasour toys and can play with them again and again. However, he will leave the MESS for me to clear!

A short conversation with YX always ended up with laughter. The other day when I was helping YX to change into his pyjamas ....

Me : Boy, can I hug you?

YX : Yes *with a smile on his face*

Me : *Hugging* You are my deeeeaaaarrrrr son.

YX : *Looking at me innocently* You are my moon !

Hahahaha........*faint*

Son = Sun ????? !!!! Kids. They never stop to entertain us.

Fated ?

This morning, I travelled to Putrajaya to settle some government stuffs on behalf of the office. In my heart, I was a bit worried because I do not have my IC with me. When I saw a police car passed by, self conciously I got worried. So I have been telling myself to drive extremely careful to avoid any authorities required to check on my IC.

At the mean time, while driving, my mind was working hard to recall when was the last time I used my IC and on what occassion. Suddenly, my memory became so good that I can even remember the thing I done 1 week ago! You know, after giving birth, my memories deteriorated and it is rather a surprised that I could still remember my past activities so clearly.

On 3 Nov (Tuesday), i brought YX to the Klinik Kesihatan for a check up because he complaint of ear-ached. That was the last time I used my IC. So, this assured me that my IC is not in Genting afterall!

So, I quickly stopped at the highway rest area and called the Klinik Kesihatan if they happen to picked up my IC. To my dissapointment, NO was the answer.

Then, I began to think again and again what happen and where I've been next. Finally, I realised that I did not go anywhere besides than home - office - home. Hmmm.....that gave me some hopes that my IC could be in somewhere 'so near yet so far'.

Once I've settled my things at the government office, I stopped at the highway rest area again and called the Klinik Kesihatan to reconfirm their findings. The same lady answer the phone was so helpful and kindly told me "There are a few ICs here but none is under your name". Ohh.... so there are so many careless people. Hope they will go back to the Klinik to claim them back before applying for a new one and pay the fine!

Giving up, I head straight to the Police Station to make a report before returning to the office.

During lunch time while I was sitting in the car waiting for hubby, I try again to search for my IC, hopping it is somewhere in the car. I just simply insert my index finger into one of the hole in between of the rear seat ....... YES, I 'raped' the seat......

And BINGO ! This is where I found my IC !

Thank you everyone who think there are still HOPES ! ^_^

Keeping my fingers & toes crossed

This morning, I have a few errands to run.

Due to the route, I stopped at the Post Office first to settle some bills and to claim back the money for unused Wang Pos on behalf of the company.

Wang Pos

At the Post Office counter.......

Me : Wang Pos ini sudah tak diguna. Saya nak claim balik wang. (This Wang Pos is not in used anymore, so I wish to claim back the money).

Officer : Mintak IC (IC please)

Me : Ok

* while taking out my purse and flip through. To my horror, my IC IS MISSING !" *

Me : Errmm....IC takde kat sini. Boleh guna lesen pemandu? ( My IC is not with me. Can I use my driving lisence?)

Officer : Tak boleh. Mesti guna IC. (No, You must show me your IC)

Oh no!!! MY IC IS MISSING ! I don't even have any idea WHEN my IC when missing !!!!

On the way back to the office, I was thinking and thinking but just could not remember when I last used my IC. Maybe I lost it in Genting (used it to check in room) ? Maybe I lost it in a coffee shop ?

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed, I hope my IC is in my bedroom. Have to wait till after office hour only go home and check. Please....pray for me!

Otherwise, it will be a hassle - to make police report, to reapply again and to pay the RM100 FINE! :-(

Ah See Wan Ton Mee @ Batu Pahat, Johor

Craving for some different type of wantan noodles?

If you happen to be in Batu Pahat, this shop is a MUST to visit. Go here for a short video clip and pictures of the wantan noodles + wantan soup.

The taste is godness. This special wantan noodles do not have black sauce included, but they use their special homemade sauce. I will normally go for their soup type and will order an additional bowl of wantan to satisfy my stomach.

Alas, it has been years that I did not eat this wantan noodles because I've shifted away from Batu Pahat after my SPM. Now with small children, I did not even have a chance to visit this 'Food Paradise' town. But my parents who still travel frequently to Batu Pahat always make me drool with all the food they took. They will definately visit this wan ton noodle shop whenever they are there. Batu Pahat are also famous for their fried carrot cake (with added squid and prawns), ikan bakar, pork satay, Malay Lontong, Nasi Beryani and the list go on!!! I missed my 'place of birth' !!! :-(

This wan ton noodle shop happen to be my childhood friend's family business and they have been operating for many years. So once the grandfather retired, it was passed down to the son and now grandson. My friend did not ask me to advertise but I just want to share with you all that if you happen to visit Batu Pahat, remember to visit this shop for their godness taste wan ton mee.

Shat Kek Ma

My favourite snacks - SHAK KEH MA. I like those from Ipoh because their texture are softer and have a slight frangance egg smell when you bite them. I can actually finished up the whole pack by myself if nobody stop me. ^_^

One fine day while I went to shop at Family Store (N.Sembilan minimarket chain), I found this new type of Shat Kek Ma. It has a few type of flavours to choose from.
Out of curiosity, I bought 1 pack (Cappuccino flavour) to try and was hooked! The texture is definately different from those Ipoh type (not soft but towards crunchy), not very sweet and goes very well with the cappuccino taste. A perfect snacks to munch on when you are sleepy.

What YX learnt in kindie

It has been about 3 months + YX went to the kindie and I can see improvement.

1) Alphabets
He can regconised A - Z in both Upper and Lower Case. He knows how to write a few alphabets correctly in both upper and lower case. Can spell simple 3 words eg, CAT, DOG, EGG and COW.

2) Numbers
He can regconised 1 - 10 in both Mandarin and English. Can write, with 2 - 3 mistakes at times. He always write no. 5, 6 and 9 wrongly.

3) Colouring
Even his coloring are very messy, but at least he knows how to colour inside the line. He can regconised all the colour correctly.

4) Song
He knows how to sing 3 full children songs in Mandarin. Those songs definately learnt in kindie because I only buy him English nursery which he already knew how to sing before he enter kindie.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

5) FIGHTING

This is the 2nd TIME. Teacher told MIL that YX always disturb one of the student and as a self defence, that student scratched him back! Apparently, that student have long finger nails. The 1st time was 2 weeks ago whereby one of his friend pinch his cheek and left a mild mark. I'm not sure if it is the same student or not because MIL also did not check with the teacher. However, for that 2 incidents, teacher said it was YX who disturb people first. Sigh! How am I going to discipline this samseng boy!!!!!

He is only 3 years and 1 month +

Econsave, Senawang

On Sunday night, MIL suggested to visit the newly open Econsave hypermarket in Senawang (about 10 - 15 minutes drive away from Seremban town). Since we had early dinner and both the kids already took their evening bathe, we proceed with the 'unplanned plan'.

For me, all hypermarket are similar. Only on certain item whereby they have SALE, it is worth the buy. I always look out for baby's disposable diapers, milk powder, toiletries and edible stuffs (fresh milk, biscuits, chips) and whichever hypermarket have SALE, it will attract me. While making payment, I felt so satisfy even the total amount will be like RMxxx (3 FIGURES). Hubby always said I'm 'penny wise, pound foolish' because I never take petrol into account. Coincidently, all 3 hypermarkets located quite far away from the place we stayed. But when that hypermarket have SALE, it will attract me to go and shop!

Ok, back to the Econsave. The environment looks nice. Well, the place is still new, so everything looks NEW. Not very spacious though but the lighting are very bright. It was quite crowded that night (maybe weekends) and certain items are on SALE, so I was happily putting things into my shopping cart.

Baby XJ was not very cooperative as she refused to sit on the shopping cart, so hubby had to carry her. Just as we walked towards the toiletries area, suddenly hubby FELL!!! with baby XJ in his arm! I got a shocked and was so worry for baby when I saw him fell. Everything happen so fast and I was unable to do anything. Luckily hubby has broad shoulder and big in size so he is able to protect baby from knocking on the floor. He was also trying hard to hold on baby so she will not fall (at the same time, trying hard to balance himself so he will not knock his head on the floor). Baby and hubby escaped bruises and knocks but baby was crying because she was afraid. We then found out that there was a pool of shampoo on the floor and hubby was so unlucky to step on it. You can imagine how SLIPPERY the floor is with that shampoo on it! Somebody must had spilled the shampoo on the floor and did not notify the staff to clean them up.

We quickly informed one of the staff at the counter, so that area could be clean up to avoid the next victim.

After that unpleasant incident, we decided to go home. As there are about 7 - 8 cashiers, only 2 counters accept credit card. I prefer to use credit card for my purchase so I can collect points. *wink* However, that night my purchase was only around RM50 + and to my surprised, they WILL NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARD FOR A PURCHASE UNDER RM80!!! Gosh! I seldom come across under RM80. Normally, a minimum amount will be RM50.

Unless there are SALE going on and the item I wanted to buy is really really cheap (especially YX & XJ's milk powder) I don't think I'm going to shop at Econsave anymore.

So Giant and Tesco hypermarket, you still have my supports!

Kodomo Lion Toothpaste

When I was a kid, I love to use the Kodomo Lion toothpaste. It smell and taste like candy.

I've introduced the Orange flavour toothpaste to YX but he just refused to use it. He started brushing his teeth about a year ago and has been brushing them without using any toothpaste. Much of coaxing does not work and I just let him brush the way he wanted.

Then, one day when we were at the shopping mall, I showed him the toothpaste on the shelf. I told him that there are a few flavours and maybe he wish to choose one for himself and he should try to use them.

Maybe the colour and varieties on the shelf attracted him, am glad that he made a decision and choosed GRAPE flavour. During that night, while I was helping him with his evening bathe, I took out the toothpaste and asked if he wanted to try them now.

^_^ YES was his reply and up till today, he has been brushing his teeth happily with his choice of toothpaste. When I took out the Orange flavour for him, he still refused. Wonder why.
