Bed

See how lucky kids are nowadays. Below are the pictures of bed frames for kids. I took them from the bedding catalogue. My FIL bought two for both YX & XJ. I still remember both my brother and I don't even have any bed during our growing up times. We slept on a piece of thin mattress laid on the floor and sometimes, we even rolled under our parent's bed. That was during our primary school time.

Shape of a ship (double decker bed). The staircase (orange colour) are also drawers. At first, wanted to select this, but after second thoughts, it is still not suitable for small children to sleep because:

BOTTOM - No protection at the side. Kids will roll down to the floor easily.
TOP - Too dangerous for kids at YX & XJ's age. Especially YX because he love to jump!

Another reason is, hubby once slept in this type of bed (traditional double decker) before, and don't know for what reason, the whole bed frame toppled down. Maybe due to the bed are too old or he is too heavy! Not a good choice anyway.

Shape of a car. The two on the left have an extra bed on the bottom which could be pull out.

Shape of a 'sports' car

The above are for YX & XJ. Guess you all will know which colour is for who. Both hubby and I choose the above because the wheels look real. You will notice the others' wheels are like cardboard stick on the four sides. The other reason is the opening is on the side way, just like you board a real car. The others opening are in front. Hope the kids will love our selection as they are still too young to select themselves now. Do not know when the bed frame will arrive. Just can't wait to see the real one.

Eeeii.....dirty

Had a little conversation with YX. Our conversations are usually short and will always end with laughters.

Me : Boy, you see. What is this? (pointing on the blue black mark on my right thigh)

YX : Black black

Me : Do you know why?

YX : Dirty lo. Mama never wash leg !

Hahahaha......

Sweet mangoes

I confessed I'm not a fruit lover. Unless they are sweet, I might just take a bite. But lately, I've a crave to eat mango. I do not know why as fruits will never be in my 'to eat' list. But the sweet and juicy mango was just too irresistible.

As I was on the way to the bank yesterday afternoon, luck was shinning on me. Not that I found a million by the road side, but I found my MANGOES! Two malay guys who just set up their stall were still arranging a basket full of mangoes onto the table and there were still a loads full of them at the back of the lorry. So, I stopped and grab my lovely mangoes.

>>>> Fast forward <<<<<<< *Back to the office*

I took out my knife, peel the skin, and wow.......its like in HEAVEN. The sweet, juicy and cold mangoes were HEAVEN! Yes, mango must be eaten cold.

I still have 10 of them in my fridge and am going to eat them all by myself. Got la, share a bit with hubby but while cutting for him, I will steal a piece or two and pop them into my mouth. He won't mind anyway.

Mangoes mangoes, wait for me. I will be eating you after lunch today. Yummy yummy!

No Hair = Botak head

Yesterday, YX was enjoying drawing alone. Seeing him so lonely, I went to interupt.

Me : Wow...YX, who are you drawing ?
(he managed to draw a circle with two dots forming the eyes and a line at the bottom forming the mouth).

YX : Drawing mama la

Me : Huh! How come no hair?

YX : No hair ma botak head la.

* Slap forehead* hahahaha.......

gong-gong WHERE are you?

As the Chinese saying goes 'Yi Jiao Tah Liang Chuan' (One leg steps on two boats) meaning want to have both things at the same time is best to describe YX. Yesterday, went to pick up YX and XJ from my brother's house to bring them home as both my parents-in-law are back from their holidays. YX seems to miss gong-gong so much and does not want to follow us home. At the same time, he does not allow us to go home as well.

After some coaxing, YX finally agreed to sit in the car, however, as hubby drove off, he started to cry again and shouting for gong-gong. His cried is so loud until making both hubby and I gave up. Thus, we told him that we are going to turn back to look for gong-gong and asked him to stop crying which he immediately stop. His eye were red and a bit swollen from crying profusely. However, half way to my brother's house, YX slept. So we made another U-turn and went straight back home.

The battle does not stop here. Once reach home, we did not expect him to wake up. Ah....that horrible kid once again yelling and crying for gong-gong. We even offered him sweets and cartoon but was rejected. Do not know what to do, we just leave him there to cry as much as he wants and finally, he stops. Then, he notice one of his toys were on the sofa and from there on, gong-gong was forgotten temporary. Kids are kids. They forget and forgive easily. Peace!

Newspaper in the Toilet

Do you have the habit of bringing any reading materials with you into the toilet whereby you need to do your business? I think almost 9 out of 10 person I knew did that! My in laws and hubby tend to have this habit and newspaper will be their favourite. Once, hubby told me without the reading materials, he can't poo. hahaha.....but I told him, what I've heard from some expert, it is advisable not to bring in any reading materials while doing business. This will delay the process as you tend to concentrate much more on your reading than the real business. Some might leads to constipation. However, I've realised some good point of bringing newspaper into the toilet as they are able to absorb the stinking smell. They really work wonder!

1st International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta @ Putrajaya 2009

Clown Hot Air Balloon from Belgium

Peacock Hot Air Balloon (country unknown). I like this one the most. It was majestic!

Elephant Hot Air Balloon from Belgium (my son's favourite)

Hot Air Balloon from Netherlands

Puffing air/gas to inflate the hot air balloon

It was really an eye opening. I've never seen a real Hot Air Balloon live, as I've only seen them via the tv, newspaper and books. The balloons was really big and colouful. I was more excited than my son running up and down as it was a big area and I does not want to miss every single balloon. Even it was crowded with people, I still managed to squeeze myself to the front and captured some nice photos. There were a total of about 20 balloons.

This fiesta was from 19 - 22 March 2009. As hubby and I only have a precious Sunday to spare, we have no choice but to go on the last day. We were lucky enough to be able to attend anyway. Our journey starts at 6.20 am leaving Seremban and drove all the way to Putrajaya, which took about an hour drive. By the time we reached the place where the fiesta is held, it was already crowded with people. Glad that we arrived early as only a short wait, the Hot Air Balloon was being puff with air/gas and once it was lighted, it took off in seconds. We only managed to took a glimpse of each balloon and they slowly dissapear from our sight. Heard from the announcement, the balloons will be landing in an empty space around Putrajaya and the show will only be repeated again in the evening.
In between the period, there will be other activities such as children colouring contest, remote control flying aircraft display, Para motor showcase, kite flying competition and paper airplane contest. However, the organiser was kind enough to leave one Hot Air Balloon which was tied with rope on all four corners around the basket (below the balloon) to the ground, for children and parents to ride on it. The balloon was raised to a few feets high and then down again. Anyway, we left after the Hot Air Balloon show and did not try the ride which I'm regretting now.

Mama WHERE are you?

My MIL is going for a holiday again. She will be leaving for Guangzhou tomorrow midnight. This time, she will be travelling together with my FIL. As both hubby and I are working, YX & XJ will have to stay with my parents at my brother's house in Senawang (about 15 minutes drive from Seremban town). Yes, my brother is also staying in the N.Sembilan state and when both my parents come, it will be 2 in 1 (meaning can visit both their son & daughter). hahaha....

Ok, back to my children. Yesterday, after dinner, hubby and I send our little prince and princess to my parents. While we were there, both are ok. Happily playing. Seeing them so attached to my parents, we left and YX even waved bye bye to us. Upon reaching home, I called my mum and she assured me both kids are ok. XJ is sleeping in the cradle while YX is still playing with gong gong (maternal grandfather).

So I wash my children's cloths (hand wash), took my bath and while preparing to tuck into my bed, my phone rang. Oh god! Its dad.

Me : Hello
Dad : Your son crying la. Crying until non-stop and he is looking for you
Me : Aiyo...I thought just now he was ok?
Dad : Now he is not! I think you better come...wait arr...
YX : ***Cry cry cry **** mama maammmaaammmm! ! ! ! !
Me : Ok Ok...mama come right now!

*going to faint* So I drag myself out of bed and start to pack some clothing because I'm going to go for a 'vacation' at my brother's house until my MIL returns!

* YAWN* That was already 11pm and by the time I reached my brother's house, YX already stopped crying but he was standing at the main gate with gong gong waiting for me. Even XJ also woke up and po-po (maternal grandmother) was carrying her. Hugs and kisses and all five of us finally managed to sleep at around 12 am.

Are they really so attached to me? So how am I going for a holiday with hubby for another honeymoon?

Steal or Just Take to Feed Hungry Family @ Home?

Yesterday, had buffet BBQ steamboat for dinner with my family. We choose to sit in the open space as it is not that stuffy as inside the shop. While enjoying our meal, my MIL noticed one Indian guy standing at the side of an empty table, looking very suspiciously. As it was still early, there were only 2 or 3 tables being occupied, therefore, it is quite obvious spotting that Indian guy.

Without us realising, the Indian guy suddenly dissapeared, and my MIL noticed a cylinder of cooking gas was also missing. Remember, we were having steamboat, so every table, there is a cylinder of cooking gas. Hubby quickly alerted one of the waiter and he is quite a hero as he gave chase to that thief who was already a few doors away. He managed to save the cylinder of cooking gas which might be used to feed the hungry family of the thief. I supposed as the economic crisis is forcing some people to do that. Anyway, the boss thank us and even told us that this is not the first time such incident had happen. So, why did he still put the cooking gas on an empty table at the side of the shop where it is not easily visible? Lesson never learned?

But the waiter should be given an applaud as he did not even think twice to put into action and in fact, he is a FOREIGNER!

The loving yet mischievous one

I've saved this post in the draft since yesterday morning (24 hrs ago) but did not publish it because I was unable to load some photos of YX & XJ. I thought the line was bad, so I should tried them today. However, it is still the same! I've been trying for more than 10 times. Yes! 10 times and the photos still was not loaded in. The page keep on showing errors!

As I have no other choice, I will have to amend this post. A post without photos. Here it goes.....

YX can be quite loving at times, but he can be very rebellious too. When the devil is in his head, he will snatch the toy XJ was playing. He even slap his poor little sister's face when she was only 3 months old.

When the brotherly love is in him, he will kiss the little sister's face again and again until we will have to seperate both of them. We will tell him "look, mei mei's (younger sister) face is full of your saliva". Sometimes, he will even arrange toys on the floor and ask XJ to play.

What a character!

Note: If the line gets better, I will post some photos of YX & XJ. I'm very tired now...after failing to upload the photos.

Big ... Big... Aeroplane

YX loves to play with his toy Aeroplane. We bought from Jusco shopping center at RM10 for 3. Last weekend, my MIL (mother-in-law) and SIL (sister-in-laws) came back from a holiday from Taiwan and hubby and I thought it will be a great idea to bring YX along so he can see the real aeroplane. By the way, XJ (my baby girl) is with my mother. She is still too young to understand and we did not intend to bring her along.

YX got so excited when we reach KLIA arrival hall. At the side of the building, he had a very good view of a big aeroplane (at least bigger than his toy at home). Then we thought maybe we should bring him to ride on a plane instead.....and we told him

Me : Boy, next time ask papa bring us for a holiday. We ride on a plane ok?
YX : Ok. (paused a while)......don't want!
Me : Why?
YX : Plane got a lot of people inside!

Aiyo......there goes my holiday plan..... :(

Why are kids so ENERGETIC?

Yesterday I slept late again. Its already 11 pm and that little boy (YX) is still so wide awake.
A-ma aka paternal grandmother who took care of my boy while we were working said he did not have afternoon nap. We thought he will knock off at around 8 pm, which he usually will when he did not have his nap. Alas, this did not happen.

He was busy exploring the living room and stop by at a corner where his A-kor (my sis-in-law) was playing a game via Facebook, which caught his attention. The little conversation goes.....

YX : Wow...got meow wo.... (meaning cat)
Me : Ya. very cute hor.
YX : Meow Meow .... (hand raise up and intend to touch the notebook screen)
A-kor : No..no....cannot touch. (while trying to push YX's hand away)
Me : Boy, don't touch...or else go to your room and sleep.
**YX was so absorb to the animation and saw meow meow walking here and there** Suddenly
YX: Meow meow cannot find his papa wor... :(

Jogoya

This is a 'happening' buffet restaurant which I think its worth the money PAID for such quality foods being served. I've been for 3 times and hope to go again if time permitted. With 2 small children tagging along, its not a good idea to arrange for such outing. My time for indulging those delicious foods will have to be sacrifices onto my kids. Unless both can sit down quietly and enjoy the foods just like their mummy!

There are an array of seafoods, Japanese sushi, fried finger foods, baked, steam, soup type up to quality dessert like Haagan Daaz ice-cream, cute mini-shape cakes, fruits and a few type of fruit juices. I just love their fresh oyster and stir fried meat crab. I can eat plenty of them and they will never run out of stock as the staffs replenish very often. Their services are first class too! For more information, see here http://www.jogoyarestaurants.com/

Jogoya....wait for me ya....Will find time to come soon...very soon!

First Time

Yes, everyone have their First Time. So do I. My First Time includes:
- broke my left elbow after fallen from the sofa at the age of 3.
- went to the stage to perform @ kindergardent at the age of 5
- add eye and mouth to creat a smiley on the zero mark I received during a Mandarin spelling test at the age of 8.
- Dig the piggy bank to buy some girlie keychain from the catalogue without my parents knowlegde at the age of 14
------- Fast Forward ----------
Suddenly, my first time experiencing morning sickness, labour pain and now a mother of 2. The journey of a motherhood is never easy but fullfilling. There are always laughters no matter how tired and how bad mood we were. There are always there for us.
-------Fast Forward again ------
Now I'm creating my own blog. Yes! My personal blog. I've never thought of blogging but maybe after blog hopping for quite some times, I felt that I have a lots to share, to put them into words and to save those 'priceless' memories into this little diary. There will be more to come...stay tune!
